We ask that all pupils wear the standard school uniform for Scoil Etchen Naofa, which comprises of :
Grey trousers/pinafore/skirt
Navy blue jumper
Light blue shirt
School Tie
The school tie can only be purchased from the school office. The other uniform parts are generic and can be purchased from any store that sells uniforms.
Children are required to wear the school tracksuit to school on PE days, when going swimming or playing after school sports. This can be obtained from “The Uniform Boutique”, The Enterprise Centre, Bishopgate St., Mullingar, (044) 9343444.
It is very important that each child makes a major effort to wear the complete uniform.
Children should have their names on their uniforms, coats and other personal belongings.
Please try to have the uniform washed at the weekends so that the children are not without their uniforms during the week.
In the interest of safety in the classrooms and in the playgrounds, children should not wear jewellery to school.
Uniform should be worn properly as it represents the standards set by our school.
In addition, a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene is encouraged at all times. Hair should be neat and tidy.
Book lists are made available during June each year. These outline the books, copies, additional items and fees required for the school year. Currently, the Free Book Scheme from the Department of Education covers most of the cost of the books and copies required. Additional items not covered by the Free Book Scheme, and which must be purchased/paid for, are listed on each book list below.
Please ensure that:
these additional fees (eg photocopying, arts and crafts, co-curricular activities, etc.) are fully paid, as soon as possible, at the start of each school year.
your child brings the extra required items to school on their first day and that all items are clearly labelled with the child’s name. These items must also be replaced as required during the school year.
